Will you allow God to do whatever is necessary to prepare you for what He has planned for you and your family? The question sat in my notebook waiting for my response, and I chewed on what I would answer for weeks. Part of me leapt for joy at the thought of being willing to go wherever God leads and doing whatever He requests. The less adventurous, cautious, fearful/earthly side, shrank away unsure what would be required.
And I imagine the Israelites who rejoiced at their freedom from Egyptian slavery, yet hesitated in fear and thus lost their opportunity to enter the Promised Land. They missed entering a land flowing with milk and honey and were relegated to forty years of desert wandering and then their deaths.
I don’t want to hesitate at the edge of something amazing because I am unsure what the next step might involve. I don’t want to miss God’s best.
Heavenly Father, I say YES! Yes, to whatever You want me to do and wherever You want me to go. Yes, I trust You with my life and the lives of my family members. Yes, I trust You to lead through dark and light, through good and bad, through hardship and joy. Yes, I trust You to do whatever is necessary to me to align with Your perfect plan. I love YOU, Father and trust You wherever Your path leads!
How would you answer the above question?
“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you. And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Joshua 3:5, Isaiah 58:11, Jeremiah 29:11 ESV).

I think most of us feel that way. We say yes to God but are fearful of what that really means and if we are ready for it.
JoJo, I so want to change my earthly thinking to believing that God's ways are always best. I've seen His loving hands (over and over) guiding down dark paths that lead to wonderful blessings!
Sister this post is SO powerful in my life today. Your words were INCREDIBLY PROPHETIC to me . . . because of you, today I have heard God's voice LOUD AND CLEAR. Thank you endlessly.
BUG HUGS!

This is very powerful for me today. I have been struggling with retirement and where we are to be...not that we want full retirement..looking for purpose and place, but I have my OWN thoughts on the place :)...A good reminder for me to turn it all over and say yes to HIS plan wherever, whenever whatever.
Wow! Such a thing to ponder. I think I would feel the same way. Interesting. Saying a prayer for you.
Hi Lisa,
God's ways are always best, and I know I have to quit resisting and hiding behind the excuses I am so good at making, and quit saying, “I can’t”, but rather start saying “HE can”, and be willing to follow wherever He leads me. Who knows? If I can get past my excuses and be obedient to the Lord’s calling, I may be able to rejoice and be blessed by all the wonderful things He has planned for me before they pass before my eyes! :)
Blessings and hugs! :)

It's easier said than done. We left our country for another and then back to our country again. I asked others if they would be willing to do that if God required it. Some said no! I think it's easier for most folks to say they would do it but it's easier said than done. The Lord knows if we're really willing or not and knows when it's just lip service.
Cherie, I'm so grateful to be a small part of God's confirmation to you. Now I'm curious to see how He leads and to watch the next step on your journey.
Hugs and BIG blessings as you follow Him!!
Renee, how grateful I am for God's word who promises that He will go with us wherever we go. And that He will be with us through every phase of our lives. God is such a good God! He has the exact best plans for us. Oh how grateful I am!!
Praying for His perfect guidance for you and your sweet husband!
Thank you, Lynn! After all the journeys He has led me on, I'm so sorry I even hesitate a moment. Even though many of the paths have been difficult, I wouldn't want it any other way. Because God's ways are always the best!! :)
Love that, Denise! Yes, God can! And I love what you said about not letting His wonderful blessings pass before your eyes. Oh my, I don't want to miss any of God's faith blessings!
Faith leaping with you!
Blessings and hugs!
Denny, you definitely took that faith leap! I don't want to only have lip service -- goodness I guess that means we are serving our lip. :(
I wonder how differently all our lives would be if we truly followed God and said "yes!" to Him.
Blessings to you for following His leading!
